About.com Rating fourhalf out of Five

By Zeke Quezada, About.com

The Bottom Line

This place is a find, make your way to the Palace Station for fresh seafood for a very reasonable price. The pasta dishes are always great as well as the gumbo. If you are forced to wait, do it.
Pros
  • Fresh Seafood
  • Incredible Gumbo
  • CLAMS!!!!!!!
Cons
  • Limited seating
  • Situated in the middle of the Casino

Description

  • These guys will cook right in front of you, ask for a litte extra spicy sauce in any of the pastas
  • The clam chowder had the desired effect for my wife, it made her want to give up cooking.
  • The Gumbo. Just the right enough of spice and the perfect sauce for diping bread

Guide Review - Oyster Bar - Palace Station Review

I found this place by accident, it is hidden well in the Casino at Palace Station. Ask around and someone will show you where it is. Each time I show up I end up ordering too much food. Sit at the bar with another person, order different items and share. The seafood pasta along with the gumbo works well for one person. The chowder and a lot of mussels for the other person. Add rice to the gumbo and you have more than enough food. They open early enough that you won't spoil an afternoon meal. A great place to have a snack in between meals. If you're into eating this is the place to do it.
